Privacy Policy
This notice explains how personal data is handled when you visit parlyn.org or contact the Parlyn Engine project.
2. Hosting and server log data
This website is hosted by Alfahosting GmbH, Edmund-von-Lippmann-Straße 13-15, 06112 Halle (Saale), Germany.
When parlyn.org is accessed, Alfahosting stores access and error log files. According to Alfahosting, these can include the visited page, time of access, amount of transferred data, referrer/source, browser, operating system and the visitor’s IP address. The IP address is anonymized after 24 hours by zeroing the final octet, and the log files are deleted after no more than seven days. The logs are used to maintain server operation and for statistical evaluation.
The processing is carried out to provide the website securely and reliably and to detect technical faults or abuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in secure and reliable website operation).
We have entered into a data-processing agreement with Alfahosting pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Alfahosting also documents technical and organisational measures pursuant to Art. 32 GDPR. The contractual originals are retained privately and are not published on this website because they contain account-specific and confidential information.
Further information is available from Alfahosting’s privacy and GDPR information.
3. Contact by email
If you contact us by email via contact@parlyn.org, support@parlyn.org or legal@parlyn.org, we process the information you send in order to handle your request. Messages are retained only as long as necessary for the request and any applicable legal obligations.
4. Cookies, analytics and external fonts
The current Parlyn website does not use analytics or advertising trackers and does not load Google Fonts or another external font service. Fonts are rendered using locally available system fonts.
The website itself does not require non-essential cookies for its current public functionality. This statement must be reviewed whenever analytics, embedded media, account systems, the future Asset Store or other third-party services are added.
5. Ko-fi
The “Support Parlyn” control is implemented as a normal external link. No Ko-fi JavaScript widget is loaded automatically on parlyn.org. Data is therefore not transmitted to Ko-fi merely because you visit this website. If you choose the support link, you leave parlyn.org and connect directly to Ko-fi; Ko-fi’s own privacy terms then apply.
If you financially support Parlyn through Ko-fi, information associated with the support transaction may be made available to the creator and payment providers as described by Ko-fi. Such information is used only for handling the support relationship and applicable legal/accounting obligations.
6. GitHub and other external links
Links to the Parlyn Engine repository on GitHub and to other third-party websites are ordinary external links. No GitHub content is embedded automatically on this site. Data is transmitted to the respective third party only when you choose to follow such a link.
7. Your rights
Subject to the requirements of applicable data-protection law, you may have rights including access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to certain processing, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.
For privacy requests, contact legal@parlyn.org.
8. Changes to this notice
This privacy notice will be updated when the website’s technology or services change. In particular, the future Asset Store, user accounts, payment functions, analytics, newsletter features or embedded third-party content will require a fresh privacy review before they go live.
Last updated: 17 August 2026. This notice reflects the current static version of parlyn.org and must be reviewed whenever the website’s functionality, hosting, embedded services or data processing changes.
